The Only Way Is Essex star, 32, debuted his dramatic new look on the red carpet for the UK’s National Television Awards this week and told The Sun why he had decided to have the treatment.
He said: “I’ve had a little cheeky beard transplant done about a week ago.
“I am really excited and feeling more confident already and looking forward to getting into the new series of TOWIE.”
Since rising to fame on the reality show, Bobby’s appearance has changed dramatically but he has previously insisted to only ever having a nose job.
Following speculation about his changing face, he insisted: “I can assure you categorically all I’ve had is one septorhinoplasty on my nose. I’ve had no other surgeries, I’m just a little bit swollen.”
During his appearance at the award show, Bobby also discussed supporting his best friend and co-star Gemma Collins, who is appearing as a contestant on UK dance show Dancing On Ice.
“Gemma has really been putting the training in, she is always out on the ice rink. I think she is doing great,” he told us.
